Heads Up!

So my next topic will be about fleeces and soft fabric now i don't know when I am going to post about it but soon I hope. Until then I hope whatever I have written would be much help. Hopefully soon I can talk about sugar glider's health. and the problems i faced when i got Miju. FYI Miju was probably the sickest one out of my gliders. But thank god, he is fine and healthy now. So stay tuned....

Pictures Of Sugar Gliders!

Now these photos are the photos that I just went and bought my first sugar glider which is Chloe. She was only 2 months at that time.

This is Chloe and Miju. Sorry Miju is a very shy glider getting his photo is like an impossible mission. Miju is the one being hidden by Chloe's ear.

This is Chloe.

Sugar Glider Cage: Vision Bird Cages.

Okay like I promise I am going to be talking or writing about the Vision Bird Cage and why i recommend Glider owners to own this particular cage. Now I am not being bias in any way possible its just that I have owned probably two different cages before I purchased this particular cage. Now thrust me I am no professional at sugar gliders but I have manage and succeed in taking care of one for 8 months now. That alone is an achievement for a 17 year old, doing this all by herself with her own pocket money. So imagine the damage that these little animals have done to my bank account. Not that I am complaining, i love them to bits and mostly they don't cost much its the cages that will hurt if you were to purchase the wrong one. Like I did, in my account the cages hurt the most. And if you wish to save your pocket from running out of money, then probably you should listen. Because I had wish someone had warn me about the cages cause then i won't feel the damage too much but sadly i do. I have probably wasted an amount of almost RM 1000 because of my lack in understanding cages and taking them lightly. Now new sugar glider owners or potential  owners to be one, listen up.

Now there is nothing wrong in buying the normal cages like the picture i posted before hand but if you haven't seen it here is the example:

Now like I said there is nothing wrong in buying this cage unless you don't mind its color coming off from the wires. because this is what I faced during the time limit I had bought and used this type of cage. Now what you need to know is that sugar gliders when they pee, they usually do it while hanging about at the cages which means their pee will mostly cover the wire mesh which undoubtedly will make the wire rust and stink. Sadly you can't do anything about it, well I couldn't. So i bought a different one seemingly they said it was better but i faced similarities and even worst cleaning it was horrible.
Another usually these cages have very easily open doors which means your sugar glider can get away. Beware sugar gliders are curious little animals anything they see, touch and smell they want to know. So if a door can open and close, they probably want to know how to open the door to freedom any animal will.

The cages that I am showing now is probably your best bet to easiness. This cage probably would be very safe for your glider. I don't have much to say but that these cages are probably my favorite. The doors are big and the locks are amazing. the cleaning technique is a little bit tricky but not hard. As for rusting its the longest for them to rust so best chances are that these are suitable cages. Nw the picture on the left is more suitable to gliders that have aged like 8 months and above while those who just bought a glider the right one would be more suitable. So that is it for now until next time. Leave a comment or send a message on any inquiries.

Sugar Glider Cage: Dealers Cheating

Hey Guys!

Okay, wow was this one postponed to long before it got out, haha. believe it or not I was to post about this almost two months ago but obviously failed to do so. But hopefully, I will be able to finish this blog post soon enough. So the topic is obviously about cages. Now sugar gliders are animals that are not to fussy about cages in some what sense meaning that usually in Malaysia, cages for sugar gliders comes from bird cages. Now in Malaysia, there are lots of choice depending where you are buy it from and how much is your budget.

If you are going to buy from stores like pet wonderland and other variety pet stores usually get yourself to bargain around RM 200- RM 500 depending on the brand but usually you can get cheaper at a downtown market. Yes, downtown market. However at a downtown market they usually will cheat you and your pocket so beware. They usually have a better cage hiding somewhere which is reasonably cheap and affordable. The cost can go from RM 150 - RM 250. I rarely see the price number of RM 250 but if you are unlucky with the seasons then yeah its better to buy at a pet store.

So the cages that a downtown market will try to sell you for approximately RM 150- RM 200 probably be looking something like this.

When actually fact they have something better that I know will cost either RM 150 for the cage longer in height but narrow in width or RM 200 for the cage shorter in height but wider in width. Now these cages are called Vision Cages and are usually my favorite choice of a cage. I'll explain in deeper detail regarding why in another post. Until then hope it helps.
